This website is an ongoing project of the old historic Baptist theology: The Berean Bible Heritage Church. Here are some of the departments:
On This Day
The On This Day series is now in its new home! This is a great tool for Baptist churches as well as a great way to learn about the great stalwarts of the faith that make each day we live memorable. Take a few minutes each day to read the stories!
See our Prophecy Guide! It is being expanded a little bit each day, and is the culmination of many years of Bible study on the topic. It tries to avoid any particular escatology dogma, and just lets the Scriptures tell the facts. It has three major parts that are inter-related. There is a commentary of Bible verses, a subject listing, and a timeline.
The Auction of Your Soul
Men of God who stand up and clearly explain what is right and why, and what is wrong and why are hard to find. The Auction of Your Soul is the many sermon files of J.E. Conant, an evangelist that traveled this country and challenged Christians to turn from their wicked ways and live! He was a close friend to A.T. Pierson, F.B. Meyer, and R.A. Torrey at Moody, and a radio preacher on the Moody Bible broadcast. His books on evangelism continue to be used as textbooks today.
Daily Bible Reading
Join us in our daily Bible reading, as we read through the the Bible each year, taking main portions from both the New and Old Testaments as well as the Psalms and Proverbs!
The Bible Says It
Look it up in The Bible Says It!
The hymns stories are being redone and moved to their new home. To see what we have so far, visit our Hymn Story index!
Why the Name?
This is a site for those who love God, and love the Word of God and are determined to follow the Lord Jesus in everything so that they will be ready for the work God has for them to do for all eternity. Heaven is not going to be the riding of a cloud while plucking some harp. It is the Kingdom of Heaven, and involve the ruling of many kings and priests. Our only chance to apprentice for this opportunity is to learn to closely follow the Lord and remain faithful in everything that is sent our way.
John the Baptist had a simple but profound message:
Matthew 3:1-2 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Jesus took the message and expanded upon it.
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Peter took up the message after the Lord Jesus ascended into heaven.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Paul expressed the idea in this way:
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The sons of Zebudee's mother asked for her boys to sit on thrones on either side of the Lord Jesus. His reply is that they needed to prove they were able, but the Father has a place for them.
Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
The great leaders in heaven fall down in worship and say:
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
